In one of the strangest college football seasons of all time, I’m back with an updated rankings for the 2021 NFL Draft. I have a new Big Board with my top 25 prospects in the game. together, plus the top 10 prospects in each position, from quarterback to long-snapper (although I only have seven – sorry).
You shouldn’t be surprised by my top ranked prospect. I don’t expect that to change with Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence looking like a superstar. But Ohio state caller Justin Fields isn’t that far behind him. It’s shaping up to be a really fun 2021 draft class, with an elite quarterback and receiving talent, as well as pass-rushers and even a few dominant offensive linemen.
A few notes before we start, as usual:

These are not yet detailed screening reports and there are a lot of screenings involved. Some of these prospects have only made a few starts. But that’s what makes following the draft fun, right?

The height and weight of each prospect is based on the data we get from schools, so it’s not official yet. We don’t get official numbers until the 2021 NFL combination. And because of the coronavirus, I don’t know what the combine will look like next year.

It’s an odd year in which the NCAA threw eligibility clocks, so the seniors who play this season could be seniors again in 2021. That still means the subclasses that are three down. years of high school may participate in the draft, but that also means might see some upper class men returning to school. It will be an interesting class.

Lawrence has missed Clemson’s previous two games with a positive COVID-19 test, but he was on the sidelines at Notre Dame and would be ready to go for the remainder of the season. This could include a potential rematch with the Fighting Irish in the ACC title match on December 19. In six games this season, Lawrence improved his winning percentage to 70.7%, and he has 17 touchdowns and two interceptions. He made a few highlight throws and limited his mistakes. He makes it look easy. Lawrence has everything NFL teams want in a starting quarterback, from size to weapons skills to the ability to process readings and throw the right shot.
