An alleged tornado that hit Michigan left a torrent of damage in its wake on Saturday night, knocking down trees and power lines, damaging homes and ripping off the roofs of at least one business.
Armada, Mich., Resident Sondra VanCamp posted photos and videos of the extensive damage centered on the city.
“We’re fine and very lucky. Here’s all the damage I can take, there’s a lot more. It’s so surreal,” she wrote.
“The whole top of this building is gone,” she said in a video she took of a torn business.
The business was closed at the time and no one was inside, WXYZ-TV Detroit reporter Brett Kast tweeted.

No injuries were immediately reported in the storms, according to Detroit’s FOX 2.
Other images shared on Michigan’s social media gave some idea of the impact of the weather.
Thousands of people have been temporarily without power, FOX 2 reported in Detroit.
“We just checked out all the neighbors and everyone is fine,” Armada resident Carrie Cercone told Detroit News. “Our house and garden are definitely not. Our fence is gone. Our son’s play set is gone. Our pool is gone. We just put it in.”
Officials have reported seeing a funnel cloud, WDIV-TV reported in Detroit, but the National Weather Service will determine on Sunday if it is, In reality, a tornado, according to FOX 2.

Tornado warnings were issued in several counties in Michigan on Saturday, including Macomb County in Armada, but all had expired by Sunday morning, according to WDIV.
