Tottenham player ratings: Mixed Joe Rodon debuts as forwards struggle but Spurs rise to top

[ad_1]

Hugo Lloris

Recovered from illness to play in the derby and had no stoppages to make until the last ten minutes when he did well to repel Mount’s shot from a distance. Made another stop to refuse Giroud in overtime. Once again, showing that his level of concentration is crucial in the last few minutes. seven

Serge Aurier

Mendy tested with a low shot from the edge of the Chelsea box. More advanced at times than against City, with Sissoko covering. Like many of his teammates, his last ball was not great. seven

Joe rodon

Very vocal from the start, despite a few nervous first moments including a mistake that led to an excluded strike from Werner. Really grew up in the game with a few important headers, but made a stupid mistake late with a weak head that fell for Giroud, only for Lloris to turn him down. A promising first start in the Premier League but he will have to learn from a few mistakes. seven

Eric Dier

Some passing at times very uncertain, particularly when trying to ping distance efforts at teammates. However, his defense was excellent and Chelsea struggled to pass him. I would have scored even higher without some of those bad passes. 8

Sergio Reguilon

Up and down on the left in the first half and well defended overall, taking a yellow card for the team in the second half. seven

Moussa Sissoko

Covered a lot of ground but often panicked when he had the ball in advanced areas and had to release it. 6

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Squeezed all over Spurs’ half of the pitch and harassed Chelsea players in possession. Was a sweeper for much of the game. seven

Tanguy Ndombele

Chelsea dazzled in the first half with a few spins and quick feet. Won a few free kicks in the second half but faded a bit on his third start of the week. seven

Steven bergwijn

Managed a quick shot over the crossbar after a good Spurs break. Worked hard but sloppy with his last ball on several occasions. Received a yellow card early in the second half but lasted almost 90 minutes before being substituted. 5

Son Heung-min

He didn’t see the ball too much for long stretches of the game and when he got it he didn’t do much with it. 4

Harry kane

Launched many Spurs counterattacks in the first half, but found space harder to find in the second and barely touched the ball. 5
