From car and driver

The rebuilt Toyota Supra is one of the hottest vehicles among fans in recent years. It's attracting a lot of attention for its renowned name, its BMW mecha- nics and its interesting style. However, no one disputes his performance, because he has recorded impressive results, including a race of 3.8 seconds at zero at 100 km / h and a threshold of 1.07 g around the skate.

The Supra is finally available at dealerships, which means that Toyota has finally released the highly anticipated creative tool to your image on its website. We decided to create our ideal version of the new GR Supra, carefully choosing trim levels, colors and options to maximize the value, aesthetics and equipment of the sports car.

Model we would choose

There is not much choice when it comes to setting up a Supra, as there is only one powertrain (for now) consisting of a turbocharged, turbocharged, 335-horsepower, turbocharged transmission. six-speed automatic transmission. Three trim levels are available, including 3.0, 3.0 Premium and a special launch edition including the first 1500 cars. Although the Launch Edition is the most expensive of all, we are seduced by its red mirror caps and its red leather interior. We think it could potentially offset its price premium when it becomes a collector's item later on.

Options we would choose

We dressed our Supra in white because it's the official color of the Japanese Grand Prix (yes, we know it's a German BMW underneath, but it still carries a Toyota badge). Absolute Zero paint also contrasts well with red mirrors and red interior. Black and red are the only other shades offered by the Launch Edition, while the other Supra models offer attractive color options, including blue, yellow and extra matte gray.

The only set of options available is a driver assistance package worth $ 1195, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and parking sensors. We succeeded, because the Supra is a sports car that prioritizes the commitment of the driver.

Our total cost is $ 56,180, which is about the largest amount you can pay for a new Supra.
