Ben McLemore heads to Portland to join the Trail Blazers. According to Michael Scotto, a contributor to HoopsHype, Mclemore and the Blazers struck a deal on free agency opening day.

McLemore, who entered the NBA as a member of the Kings, played his first four seasons in Sacramento. Last year he split his time with the Rockets and Lakers. In Los Angeles, he appeared in 21 games. On those outings, he averaged 8.0 points per game and had 36.8% of his three-point attempts. McLemore’s career goal percentage is 41.6%.

The Trail Blazers also added free agent Cody Zeller to the fold on Monday. McLemore and Zeller are the first additions to a retooled bench for Portland. In the 2013 NBA Draft, McLemore was selected between Zeller and CJ McCollum as the No.7 pick. McLemore will enter next season at 28.
