Second-year Indiana trayce Jackson-Davis will be returning to Indiana for her junior season, he announced Friday afternoon.
“Indiana basketball is something I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of. After speaking with Coach Woodson and his family, I think it’s in my best interest to come back for my freshman year, ”Jackson-Davis said in his statement. “The Hoosier Nation has been down for a while now and I want to be a part of the change that makes them great again. In sophomore, Jackson-Davis averaged 19.1 points and nine rebounds per game.
The 6-foot-9 forward was named third All-American team last season by The Sporting News, NABC and USBWA. He was an All-American Honorable Mention by the Associated Press.
Jackson-Davis was also named All-Big Ten First Team by Media and Associated Press and All-Big Ten Second Team by League Coaches.
The Center Grove product started all 27 games last season and was the only player in a power conference to average over 19 points and nine rebounds per game. He was fourth in the Big Ten in points, second in rebounds, fifth in field goals and blocked shots percentage and third in minutes played per game.
His comeback is a major victory for Mike Woodson as he builds his roster for the 2021-22 season at Bloomington.
Friday afternoon, Indiana still has four players on the transfer portal: Khristian Lander, Jordan Geronimo, Race Thompson and Armaan Franklin.
