Trek Boss plans Starfleet Academy series

Current “Star Trek” television boss Alex Kurtzman has revealed that streaming service Paramount + is developing another “Trek” series, this one centered around Starfleet Academy.

The more spy-thriller style “Star Trek: Section 31” is also on its way and Kurtzman says, “I think we’re just getting started. There’s so much more to be had. He also says he wants to get into some things. much stranger places:

“[I want] getting a lot weirder with the franchise… pushing the boundaries a lot further than I think most people would like. I think we could do it. Marvel has actually proven that you can. But you have to build a certain foundation to get there and we’re still building our foundation ”

The second season of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” will be released next Friday.
