Cruz, in his infinite wisdom, took it upon himself to fly to Cancun during the humanitarian crisis to spend vacations with his family at the Ritz-Carlton. When he was caught red-handed and ridiculed for it, the politician flew back and blamed the whole episode on his wife and daughters.
Monday evening, The daily showTrevor Noah has waded through the grimy waters of Cruz, exploring how the former preppy Princeton student who now cosplores as a cowboy tries to improve his image in the wake of the ridiculous, self-imposed scandal.
“After being criticized for flying to Cancun when his own heat died out, Texas Senator and Disney Prince Ted Cruz before The Kiss of True Love is now back to its original state doing the bare minimum for the cameras, ”Noah explained.
As Fox News proudly stated, Cruz spent the weekend serving barbecue and putting clean water in Texans’ cars in a cute see-through photo to get some positive PR after the Cancun debacle.
