Treyarch Developer Responds to Claims He Is Not Fixing Cold War Bugs Fast Enough

[ad_1]

Players purchase their new Maxis Pack for Black Ops Cold War and notice that the Maxis player model is invisible in their games. in Zombies mode.

UPDATE: Treyarch informed that there is actually no invisibility issue in MP with the Maxis bundle. MP players are experiencing an issue where Maxis will appear as Adler in the game instead of Maxis. The invisibility issue only occurs in Zombies mode, where it affects both player POV and enemies’ sight.

Treyarch is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Treyarch acknowledged the problem on their Trello board, saying: “the occasional invisibility bug only occurs in zombies, not in MPs. When this happens, the Operator appears invisible to all Zombie players, not just the player’s POV. In MP, the player will occasionally appear as Adler.“The studio confirms that”a fix is being deployed. In the meantime, use Quick Equip in Bundle Locker as a workaround to use Maxis as intended. “

The original story follows below.

The second season of Black Ops Cold War kicks off in an interesting way with the launch of its flagship pack Maxis, retailing for 2,400 COD Points in the store. While many players have no problem running the brand new Operator in Multiplayer and Zombies, some players have reported huge issues running it on all platforms.

According to a Reddit post by user Sticky-Lemons, it appears that Operator Samantha Maxis may actually appear completely invisible to players in-game, or even default to using another skin instead. You can see the bug in action in the video below, where the Redditor recorded their experience in the new Firebase Z card, with no operator in sight.

After arriving on the map, the user was also unable to see their operator’s sight model or weapons and, according to other Reddit posts, was also unable to receive damage from zombies on the map, making their completely invulnerable character.

Another report from commentator JeffFronks reports that he also runs into this exact issue in Zombies and when appearing in multiplayer. The Maxis operator is replaced with an Adler skin instead, which further adds to the confusion.

Fortunately, it looks like players won’t have to wait too long for a fix, as Treyarch’s Community Manager Josh Torres has confirmed that the team is aware of the issue and is actively following the issue.

We’re not sure which players will be affected by this issue, or if it’s specifically based on the platform you’re using. At the time of writing this article, our team have attempted to use Maxis on PS5 and PC and have not seen any loading issues in Zombies or multiplayer games.
