EVERETT (AP) – A class action suit accuses Encore Boston Harbor of misleading gamblers as state regulators uncover gains from the casino's first week.
Richard Schuster, a New York resident, says Everett Casino pays less for some winning blackjack hands and to round out slot winnings. He was deposed on Monday in the Middlesex County Superior Court.
Wynn Resorts responds that its operating procedures have been approved by the gambling regulators and comply with the regulations in force.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission says it is reviewing the complaint.
The commission reported Monday that the casino had garnered nearly $ 17 million in gaming revenue in its first week of opening. In contrast, MGM Springfield reported approximately $ 20 million and the Plainridge Park slot show reported $ 13.5 million in gaming revenue for the entire month of June.
