Trump allies Lin Wood and Marjorie Taylor Greene attack each other

Lawyer for Trump supporters Lin Wood and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, quarrel in public after Wood accused Greene of being “a Communist.”

Wood has filed several 2020 election challenges with pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell following President Joe Biden’s victory. He continued to promote various electoral conspiracy theories. Greene, also a stalwart of Trump, has also been promoting misinformation about the 2020 election.

While their interests may line up when it comes to Trump, the two right-wing figures now appear to be in blatant disagreement.

“In my opinion, Marjorie Taylor Greene is a Communist,” Wood said in remarks Friday. “If Marjorie Taylor Greene is running around saying ‘impeach Biden’ it means Biden won, he didn’t,” the attorney said. “And you will never dismiss him with a Communist Congress. It’s a waste of time.”

Wood went on to suggest that Greene might be a “traitor”.

“A traitor will come to you as a patriot. Be careful,” Wood said.

Greene responded on Saturday with an attack of his own. She suggested that Wood attempted to take the money given to his former client, Kyle Rittenhouse. The young man was charged with shooting two people dead during a Black Lives Matter protest in Wisconsin last year while he was still a minor.

“People donated money through Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense (Lin Wood) Law Back. Kyle fired Lin in December. People did not donate to Lin Wood, so why would he want to get $ 2 million back? ” Greene wrote in an article posted on his Telegram channel.

“Only monsters hurt innocent people when they need it most,” she continued. The GOP congressman urged supporters to donate to another fundraising campaign for Rittenhouse. Greene then raised questions about the motives for Wood’s actions following the 2020 election.

“If Lin Wood fought so hard against the elections as he claims, even encouraging people to come to the Capitol on J6 [January 6], why isn’t he a target of the J6 witch hunt? ”she asked.

“The J6 [House select] committee only focuses on Trump’s greatest supporters. But not Lin Wood, ”Greene wrote.

Wood then posted more reviews of Greene on his Telegram channel. “I love Marjorie Taylor Greene, but I have expressed serious concerns about her inability to take meaningful action for FIX 2020,” he wrote.

“I believed in Marjorie. Now that I have questioned her inability to act for FIX 2020, it seems Marjorie no longer believes in me. On the contrary, she attacked me with lies and false statements,” he said. the lawyer continued.

“A monster???’ Are you kidding me???” He asked. Wood then suggested that Greene was part of the so-called “Deep State”.

“I am also always ready to help him prevent it from falling into an even deeper deep state ditch,” he wrote.

News week contacted Wood and Greene’s spokesperson for further comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

Despite Wood’s assertion, Greene is not a Communist. She strongly opposed all Democrats’ efforts to provide more government funding for a range of social programs. The MP regularly attacks her fellow Democrats by calling them “communists”, although they are not communists either.

Communism demands that all the goods of society be public property while everyone is paid and taken care of collectively according to their needs. No one in the current federal government is advocating the transition of the United States to such a system.
