Lawyers for the Trump 2020 campaign and representatives for six delegates from Joe Biden’s Nevada Electoral College inspected a counting office in Carson City on Tuesday in an electoral fraud lawsuit brought by the Trump team.

The reactions of the two sides were not immediately known before a hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Carson City State Judge James Russell paved the way for the joint inspection on Monday.

The Trump campaign is challenging the results of the state’s Nov. 3 election, which showed Democrat Biden winning with 50.1 percent of the vote versus Trump’s 47.7 percent, according to the Fox News ruling office.

Data compiled by Fox showed Biden garnering support from more than 703,000 voters in the state, with Trump drawing nearly 670,000 votes – for a difference of less than 35,000 votes.

In its challenges in Nevada and other states, the Trump campaign has questioned the results of counties containing heavily populated cities with large numbers of registered Democrats – but most of the campaign’s court cases have met with little success. until now.

Biden has only won two of Nevada’s 16 counties – Clark, which includes Las Vegas, and Washoe, which includes Reno.

Jesse Binnall, a lawyer leading the Trump Challenge in Nevada, said he intended to prove fraudulent votes were cast in the state and that Trump – not Biden – was the real winner, reported The Associated Press.

Binnall did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.

President Trump posted a Twitter message just after midnight on Tuesday, spreading word of the judge’s ruling on Monday to his 88.7 million followers.

“A Nevada judge ordered Clark County officials to allow an inspection of election materials and sealed containers used in the 2020 election before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, ”Trump wrote.

Nevada certified the state’s Nov. 24 election results as official, including Biden’s 33,596-vote victory over Trump statewide in a coronavirus-inspired mail-in vote to avoid the overcrowding in polling stations.

Lawyers representing Voters Registrar Joe Gloria and the state and national Democratic parties did not object to the site visit.

The Russell court order noted that state law allows inspection of test reports and material “relating to equipment and programs used” in elections.

States face a deadline to resolve electoral disputes before the presidential electoral college vote on December 14.

Governor blows Trump up

Meanwhile, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak released a statement on Tuesday condemning a tweet from Trump in which the president called the state’s election results “bogus.”

“It is unacceptable for him to continue to spread lies and sow distrust at a time when all Americans should be united during this historic public health crisis. Enough is enough, ”Sisolak wrote, according to Las Vegas’ FOX 5.

Trump’s remark about the Nevada election came in a retweet of an allegation from a Twitter site that a photo of hospital beds set up in a Nevada parking lot was a “scam.”

In his statement, Sisolak, a Democrat, defended the work being done in Nevada to fight the coronavirus.

“They are not liars, as the president suggested – they are heroes,” he said of state health workers.
