"After more than two years of presidential harassment, the only thing that has been proven is that Democrats and others have broken the law," Trump said on Twitter. "Cohen's hostile testimony, given by a liar to reduce his time in jail, did not reveal any collusion!"

Trump insisted that Cohen had written a manuscript last year that was a "love letter" to Trump, contradicting his critics with regard to Trump in his testimony before Congress. . No manuscripts were published, and Cohen 's publisher stated that he had never made any.

Trump Sunday claimed that the unpublished manuscript of Cohen's book proved that his testimony was a lie. He said in a separate tweet that "Fake Media will not show it".

"I am an innocent man persecuted by very bad, corrupt and corrupt people in an illegal witch hunt and who should never have been allowed to start," Trump said.

Cohen, who was sentenced to jail last year for pleading guilty to financial crimes and campaign financing violations, testified publicly before the House's Oversight and Reform Committee. His testimony included several allegations that Trump had committed crimes over the years.

Among other things, Cohen said Trump had ordered him to break the law and pay a secret payment to adult movie star Stormy Daniels, who claimed to have had an affair with the president.

Republican lawmakers rejected Cohen's credibility, pointing out that he had already admitted to having lied to Congress on the planned construction of a Trump tower in Moscow.

Trump Friday accused Cohen of committing perjury "on a scale never seen before," citing the manuscript of the book as evidence.

"The Congress must demand the transcription of the new book by Michael Cohen, delivered to publishers not long ago," he wrote on Twitter. "Your heads will turn when you see the lies, the false statements and the contradictions against his testimony of Thursday. As a different person! He is totally discredited!"

According to the Daily Beast, the book proposed by Cohen, titled tentatively "Trump Revolution: White House Tower, including Donald J. Trump," was dropped in May 2018 because of the legal difficulties faced by the former fixer.

"We have never seen a manuscript from Mr Cohen," Rolf Zettersten, editor of Center Street, who was planning to publish Cohen's book, said last week.

Lanny Davis, counselor and lawyer for Cohen, told The Hill last week that Cohen had been seen offering a "substantial" advance last year for a book on the president. Davis said that Cohen had declined the offer.
