Trump boat parade appears to sink nearby ship in waves

Video has emerged showing a boat sinking on a river in Portland, Oregon, as ships participating in a “Trump Boat Parade” pass nearby. The clip, which has been viewed over 250,000 times on Twitter, shows the boat sinking as it took on water on the Willamette River on Sunday.

Other ships arrive to help those thrown into the river. Sgt. Bryan White, spokesperson for the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office says Oregon Live that those aboard the boat had already been rescued by the time river patrol deputies arrived at the scene.

No one was injured in the incident. White said the sinking boat was not part of the Trump parade.

According to the event organizer, more than 100 boats took part in the parade showing their support for the president ahead of the November election.

“Oregon, today you stepped out and showed your love and support for our wonderful President Donald J. Trump, thank you! With so many things President Trump has done for our country, it is the least we have. can do in return. The silent majority are tired of being silent, it’s time for a change in Oregon, and so can God help us, ”Kristina Malimon wrote on Facebook.

Elsewhere, Trump supporters in Florida attempted to set a world record for the largest boat parade on Saturday. It is estimated that over 1,180 boats took part in the event in Clearwater which organizers have called the “mother of all boat parades.”

According to Guinness World Records, the current largest parade of boats saw 1080 ships, which was put in Terengganu, Malaysia, September 13, 2014.

Another “Trump Boat Parade” over the July 4 weekend in South Carolina has already claimed to have broken the world record after more than 3,400 boats took part in the 20-mile parade on Lake Murray.

“According to the third-party company whose expertise consists of counting people and things from the air, we recorded a record of 3,417 boats and over 30,000 people participating in the ‘Trumptilla’.” Pressley Stutts, one of the parade’s organizers, wrote on Facebook.
