President Donald Trump announced that he would announce a new "phenomenal" health care plan in the next two months, and said that health care would be the focus of concern before his 2020 election campaign.

Trump has repeatedly called for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as "Obamacare," and promised to pass a bill that would provide "insurance to everyone." In 2017, Republican lawmakers made great efforts to replace Obamacare with an updated version called the American Health Care Act, or ACHA, but the bill was finally tabled.

Sending to ABC News in an interview broadcast Sunday night, Trump promised that health care would be high on his agenda in the run-up to the presidential election.

"We have almost completed health care, health care is a disaster, Obamacare," Trump told facilitator George Stephanopoulos. "If we recover the House, we will produce phenomenal health care, and we already have the concept of the plan, but it will cost much less than Obamacare."

Trump said his administration would announce changes "in about two months, maybe less."

Trump has made health an important part of his re-election campaign and recently said the GOP would become "The party of health!"

In March, the Trump administration told a court that it was in favor of a total reduction of the Affordable Care Act, which would completely overhaul the current system and leave millions without health insurance.

Trump announced on Friday new measures to expand health care choices offered to small businesses through Health Care Reimbursement Agreements (HRAs), employer-sponsored health plans that reimburse employees medical expenses not covered by their health care.

"The HRA will allow American workers to buy the plan that best suits them and their families, and that their employer bears the costs," he told reporters. Rose Garden. "HRAs will now receive the same tax treatment as other health care plans provided by employers.

He added that another "big announcement" would be made in the coming weeks and criticized the "socialist" health plan of Democratic leader Bernie Sanders, who would largely eliminate private health insurance.

"Socialist health care would crush American workers with higher taxes, longer wait times, and much worse care," he said.
