McCabe, during a major interview, said that during his stay at the Department of Justice, officials had discussed the possibility of eliminating Trump via the 25th amendment. He also stated that he thought he had been fired because of investigations he had opened in front of the president.

"There are many explanations to make to the millions of people who come to elect a president who really pleases them and who have done a great job for them with the army, the vets, the Economy, and so much more, "continued Trump. "It was the" illegal "insurance policy and betrayal in action!"

Wow, so many lies are now being dishonored by FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story is even more disturbing. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), seem to have planned a very illegal act and got caught …..

He also stated that the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had offered to wear a wire around the chair.

McCabe later returned these comments. A spokesman for the latter said McCabe was "not participating in any lengthy discussion on the use of the 25th amendment, and he was not aware of such discussions".

The Department of Justice also issued a statement reiterating Rosenstein's rejection of his request for a lead, which Rosenstein described as "inaccurate and factually incorrect".

In an extended interview with CBS broadcast Sunday, McCabe said he thought he "was fired because I had opened a case against the US president."

McCabe was referring to the investigation of obstruction to justice launched by the FBI after the dismissal of Comey and the investigation into whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Kremlin.

The White House told CBS News that McCabe had opened "a totally unfounded investigation of the president."

McCabe was removed from his position in March 2018 after an internal monitoring report revealed that he had misled investigators investigating FBI leaks regarding his investigation of the Clinton Foundation during the 2016 presidential race.
