Trump is the one who modified Dorian's trajectory map with Sharpie: Washington Post

"Nobody else writes like that on a map with a black Sharpie," a White House official told the Post Office under cover of anonymity.

Since Sunday, Trump has aggressively defended his false claim that Hurricane Dorian was likely to hit Alabama, even after the disaster. The national meteorological service emphasized "No impact of Hurricane Dorian will be felt throughout Alabama".
At an Oval Office briefing on Wednesday, Trump asserted that the annotated NOAA map was the original forecast, although a similar image released by the White House last week does not include a perimeter indicating that Alabama would be affected.

Earlier this week, a source close to the briefing did not deny CNN the fact that Trump had drawn the black line on the map.

"I will not go into details," said the source on Wednesday, while confirming that the line was added during the storm briefing on Wednesday, before the press entered the oval office.

Later on Wednesday, a reporter asked Trump if the black line over Alabama had been created with a permanent marker.

"I do not know, I do not know, I do not know," Trump replied.

Bloomberg was the first to announce that Trump had marked the map with Sharpie.
Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, killing at least 30 people and a wake of wreckage. The number of reported deaths should increase as the extent of the damage becomes clear. The hurricane also hit parts of the Carolinas and Virginia with rains, storm surges and strong winds as it approached the east coast.
