EXCLUSIVE: Former President Donald Trump and his team are “moving forward” with plans to create their own social media platform, people familiar with the matter told Fox News.

“We are moving forward,” a source said on Tuesday. “And President Trump will find his voice somehow.”

Earlier this month, Trump’s senior adviser Jason Miller hinted at Trump’s plans to create his own form of social media after Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube permanently banned him from their platforms. -forms following the Capitol riot in January.

Just this week, Facebook deleted a video of an interview with Trump conducted by his stepdaughter Lara Trump, claiming that any content “in the voice of Donald Trump” would be removed from the social media platform.

A group of Trump officials received an email from a Facebook employee before the interview was published, warning that any content posted to Facebook and Instagram “in President Trump’s voice is currently not allowed on our platforms (including new posts with President Trump speaking.) “and warned that it” will be removed if posted, resulting in additional limitations on the accounts that posted it. “

“These tips apply to all campaign accounts and pages, including Team Trump, other campaign messaging vehicles on our platforms, and former surrogates,” the email said, posted to Instagram by Trump’s son Eric Trump.

“Hey folks,” a Facebook employee wrote to her in an email with the subject line “Content Removal”.

“We are trying to inform you that we have removed content from Lara Trump’s Facebook page that President Trump was speaking on,” the Facebook employee wrote. “In keeping with the block we have placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, additional content posted in Donald Trump’s voice will be removed and will result in additional account limitations.”

Lara Trump posted the email on her Instagram.

A familiar source confirmed the authenticity of the messages to Fox News.

Facebook did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

“What they did to Lara was shameful,” a source close to Trump told Fox News. “They are cutting off our voices, for anything that has to do with Trump.”
