MIAMI (AP) – President Donald Trump's company announced Wednesday it has canceled a golf tournament with strippers playing the role of caddy at the Trump Golf Complex near Miami.

The Washington Post reports that the Trump Organization issued a statement stating that the event would no longer take place because a benefiting children's charity had been withdrawn. The statement says "all amounts paid will be refunded."

The Shadow All Star tournament was hosted by a Hialeah Striptease Club, Shadow Cabaret. The club had announced on Facebook and on its website that the event would be held Saturday at Trump National Doral.

The tournament offered golfers a choice of dancers to be their "younger daughter".

Shadow Cabaret's marketing director, Emanuele Mancuso, said there would be no nudity at the resort. After the tournament, golfers and dancers had to go to a different venue for a burlesque show.

A statement from the Trump Organization in the Washington Post said the funds raised by the tournament had to go to Miami's All Stars charity.

However, the director of the organization, Carlos Alamilla, told The Associated Press that he withdrew on Wednesday because he did not know that a strip club was involved.
