Trump overturns Kentucky Derby's decision to disqualify maximum security

President Trump on Sunday accused the "politically correct" of having made a controversial decision during the Kentucky derby, which led to the disqualification of the apparent winner in favor of a long shot at 65 to 1.

"Kentuky Derby's decision was not good, it was a tough race on a wet and slippery track, in fact, a beautiful thing to watch," Trump wrote on Twitter, misspelt the name of the state. "Only in these days of politically correct that such a reversal could occur. The best horse did NOT win the Kentucky Derby – not even close! "

Undefeated Maximum Security crossed the finish line at Churchill Downs Saturday ahead of Country House and Code of Honor at the 145th Roses Race.

Fifteen minutes later, as a result of a rider's objection, Maximum Security was stripped of its title after the stewards decided that the horse had prevented War of Will from giving the win to Country House.

This was the first disqualification in the 145-year history of the Kentucky Derby.
