Trump says AT & T boycott could impose "big changes" on CNN

President Trump criticized CNN and said that "big changes" could occur if people started boycotting CNN's parent company, AT & T.

AT & T took control of CNN after the merger of telecommunications giant and Time Warner cable television company earlier this year. Trump criticized CNN and AT & T in a pair of tweets on Monday after landing in the UK:

"Just happened in the UK The only problem is that @CNN is the main source of information available in the US After watching it for a while, I turned it off. All the negative information and so wrong, very bad for the US Why does the @ATT owner do nothing? … I believe that if people [stopped] By using or subscribing to @ATT, they would be forced to make big changes at @CNN, which dies anyway in the logs. It's so unfair with such bad, Fake News! Why would not they act? When the world looks @CNN, it gets a false image of the United States. Sad!"

A federal judge ruled in June that AT & T could acquire Time Warner under a $ 85 million contract. The Trump administration sued to block the deal in November, saying the merger was violating antitrust laws, limiting competition and raising prices.
