Trump says that US products used for government projects may currently contain 50% foreign components and still be considered US. It has signed a decree increasing the percentage of US components to 75%.

The president signed the order at an annual exhibition "Made in America" ​​organized by the White House. Manufacturers from all 50 states were represented.

Trump said the administration "took into account the wisdom" of the country's founders in "restoring our economic independence and awakening our industrial power."

Trump also discussed the steps taken by the administration to boost the US manufacturing industry. Last year, the trade deficit widened to a record high of $ 621 billion in 10 years.
