Last week, Trump tweeted a video of Omar commenting on the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on a US-Muslim group, interspersed with footage and a video of the attacks, along with the text "we will never forget".

Republicans accused Omar of downplaying terrorist attacks in the speech and members of the GOP and his own party called other anti-Semitic comments.

High critic of the Israeli government, Omar swore that these critics would not dissuade his love for the United States or his desire to influence change in the Middle East.
