A A man from Utah was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly threatening several members of Congress, calling the Capitol over 2,000 times and often blaming staff for the Democrats.
Scott Brian Haven, 54, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with transmitting threats of threats of injury.
Although the names and parties of congressmen are not identified in the federal indictment, it reveals some of Haven's threats.
In one of the calls, he is accused of wanting to slice the head of a senator – that day only, Haven has called the Capitol telephone switchboard 32 times. In September 2018, indictments indicated that Haven was calling the office of the same senator and informing staff that the Democrats "were trying to destroy Trump's presidency" before saying that he "was coming for suspend it ".
In another incident, he allegedly called the office of a member of Congress and told him that he was going to shoot him in the head. During some profaning speeches, the appellant called himself Adolf Hitler and George Washington.
When the caller was transferred to a special agent of the Capitol telephone switchboard, he dared authorities to stop him.
"Come on, stop me!" Haven said, then threatening to hit the agent if he tried. When the appellant was asked to threaten a federal agent, Haven reportedly replied, "What are you going to do?"
At his first hearing on Wednesday, a judge ordered Haven to remain imprisoned and described him as a danger to the community.
