A man seen expiring forcefully on two women outside Donald Trump’s golf course in Virginia has been charged with assault.

Raymond Deskins, 61, has been charged with misdemeanor assault after a private citizen obtained an arrest warrant through a county magistrate, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday. Deskins did not immediately return a request for comment.

A video widely shared on social media shows Deskins blowing air at two unidentified women after one of them asks him to walk away and points out that he is not wearing a mask in the middle of the worsening of the coronavirus pandemic.

β€œIt’s an assault,” one of the women said afterward.

β€œI blew on you,” Deskins replied.

The state of Virginia is ordering the wearing of masks in certain places to stop the spread of the coronavirus. However, they should not be worn outside.

The altercation occurred on Saturday outside the Trump National Golf Club, where the president was playing. Protesters and supporters regularly gather outside the entrance to the club when it is playing.

Deskins wore a Trump shirt and an inflatable pool tube with Trump’s likeness around his waist.

Several members of the Loudoun County Supervisory Board sent a letter to law enforcement authorities on Sunday asking for a full investigation. The letter said the two women protested the president outside the golf club.

The sheriff’s office said the altercation was investigated at the scene but was not witnessed by law enforcement and the video did not capture its entirety.

The sheriff’s office said it had informed both parties who said they were assaulted that they could apply for a warrant from a county magistrate.
