President Trump on Friday released a video montage of the Sept. 11 attacks and controversial comments by Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar, which trivialized acts of terrorism.

"We will never forget!," Trump tweeted in uppercase above the video.

The video includes Omar's highly-criticized remarks to the Council on US-Islamic relations in March, as well as quick cuts to video footage of horrific terrorist attacks, including clips showing the collapse of the Twin Towers.

"CAIR was founded after September 11, because they recognized that some people had done something and we were all starting to lose access to our civil liberties," said Congresswoman (D-Minneapolis ).

His comments resurfaced when an Australian imam – now famous for his social media – tweeted them, leading to a storm of condemnation.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) led the attack on his colleague's remark.

"The first member of Congress ever to describe the terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on September 11 was" people who did something, "he wrote on Twitter.
