President Trump, who is due to address the crowd on the second day of the rally, will top the list of possible White House hopes at the conference.

Trump won’t be the only potential 2024 candidate at the RNC rally.
Vice President Mike Pence, who likely has presidential ambitions, is also expected to attend.

And Fox News confirmed earlier this month that a group of other potential White House hopefuls had also been invited. The list includes former United Nations Ambassador and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Ted Cruz of Texas, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Tim Scott of South Carolina, Marco Rubio and Rick Scott of Florida, and the governors. Nearly two-thirds of Republicans in New Hampshire, the state that holds the first primary in the race for the White House, say they would like to see Trump make a 2024 offer to return to the White House. That’s according to a University of New Hampshire (UNH) survey conducted in November.
“Until Republicans find an obvious person to replace Trump, he will be considered the frontrunner by 2024,” said Andrew Smith, director of the UNH investigation center.

Barbour pointed out that “of course Trump is the frontrunner. He is the President of the United States. He has been a force unlike what we have seen in the last few decades among Americans.”
But while noting Trump’s “favorite” status at this extremely early stage of the next White House race, Barbour predicted that “like the ’16 cycle, it will be a wide open race and there will be an opportunity for others to emerge, but they will have to play, just like President Trump. “
