President Donald Trump mockingly stated that the Dow Jones fell dramatically following the release of the Massachusetts Republic, Seth Moulton, from the presidential race.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost more than 500 points Friday after the president "ordered" US companies to find suppliers outside of China. He dropped more than 350 points in the minutes following the tweet.
Trump demanded: "US companies are invited to immediately seek an alternative to China, including bringing your business home and making your products in the United States."
"The Dow Jones is down 573 points on the news that Rep. Seth Moulton, no matter what, has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race!" he followed in another tweet Friday afternoon.
