WASHINGTON (AP) – Donald Trump will make his first post-presidential appearance at a Conservative rally in Florida next weekend.
Ian Walters, spokesperson for the American Conservative Union, has confirmed that Trump will speak at the group’s annual Conservative political action conference on February 28.
Trump is expected to use the speech to talk about the future of the Republican Party and the Tory moment, as well as to criticize President Joe Biden’s efforts to overturn his immigration policy, according to a person who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss plans .
CPAC is being held in Orlando, Florida this year and will feature a large number of former Trump administration officials and others who represent his wing of the GOP, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
Trump has kept a relatively low profile since retiring from the White House in Palm Beach, Florida in January, but reappeared last week to conduct a series of phone interviews to commemorate the death of the conservative commentator. Rush Limbaugh.
