Trump retweeted 59 responses to Dan Bongino's tweet, a conservative media personality, in the space of 20 minutes, promoting tweets from users who claimed that firefighters were not supporting Biden.

The frenzy began after Trump promoted Bongino's initial tweet, claiming that the firefighters he knew did not support Biden.

"I've done more for firefighters than this union will ever do and I get paid ZERO!" Asset wrote. On Monday, just before Biden's first campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Trump also criticized "dues-hungry" union leaders who "will always support the Democrats, even if the members want me".

Shortly after being retweeted by Trump, an apparent supporter changed his username for "F *** Donald Trump." This tweet was not immediately removed from Trump's account.

Harold Schaitberger, president of the IAFF, told Biden Tuesday that "he will address these voters, that he will be able to communicate with the voters who left because he has 40 years of career to return the favor ". Trump tweeted on Biden several times last week when the former vice president announced the launch of his campaign.
