Nearly seven in 10 poll participants said they would like to see Trump run for president again in the 2024 election, compared with 15% who said they did not and 17% who said they were unsure.

Ninety-five percent said they wanted the Republican Party to continue with Trump’s agenda and policies, 3% said the GOP should change direction, and 2% said they were uncertain.

The CPAC straw poll also asked respondents who they would support the presidency in a notional race if Trump was not a candidate. The results showed DeSantis had a large lead with 43% support.

In this race, Noem came behind the governor of Florida with 11%, followed by Donald Trump Jr. with 8% and former secretary of state.
