Trump’s impeachment defense team shows 9-plus-minute compilation of Dems using the word ‘fight’

Former President Donald Trump’s impeachment defense team on Friday released more than nine minutes of footage showing Democrats using the word ‘struggle’, attempting to rebut accusations by House impeachment officials which Trump allegedly incited the insurgency on Capitol Hill on Jan.6.

The Democrats’ long compilation using the word – which contained numerous clips with little to no context at all – came after Trump’s lawyer David Schoen accused impeachment officials of editing selectively what Trump said. Some of the Democrats represented were senators who were jurors in the impeachment trial, including Chuck Schumer of New York, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Raphael Warnock of Georgia, and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, among others.

House impeachment officials pointed to Trump’s own words ahead of the Jan.6 insurgency, when he said supporters would lose the country if they didn’t “fight like hell.” Democrats also argued that Trump’s speech was the culmination of a months-long effort to overturn the election results.
