Several confidants of President Donald Trump tell him that the behavior and actions of his legal team make him look like an idiot, The Daily Beast reported, citing two people familiar with the conversations.

Rudy Giuliani, former New York mayor and Trump’s personal attorney since 2018, was tasked with the Trump campaign’s legal challenge to the US election result on November 14.

Since President-elect Joe Biden won the Nov. 3 election, Trump has made few public appearances, leaving Giuliani to take center stage and parrot say the election was rigged.

However, Giuliani’s conduct and the legal slippages have drawn ridicule.

The Daily Beast reported on Wednesday that several members of Trump’s inner circle had told the president his legal strike force “made him look like an idiot,” the outlet said.

On November 8, Giuliani held a press conference in the parking lot of the Four Seasons Total Landscaping, a Philadelphia garden center, in apparent confusion with the reservation of the luxury Four Seasons hotel.

On November 19, at another press conference, Giuliani sweated so profusely that black hair dye began to trickle down his face.

Giuliani also used quotes from the movie “My Cousin Vinny” to support his claim that the election was fraudulent.

Trump aides thought press conference “dangerous,” New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said tweeted That day. “They’re waiting for the president to recognize him, but he’s not that far away.”

However, on Monday, NBC News reported that Trump was losing patience with his legal team, with an official telling the media outlet that the president said they were “fools who made him look bad.”

None of the 22 Trump campaign legal challenges to the US election results on Thursday came to fruition.

Several were rejected, which prompted Giuliani to revoke his legal license.

Democratic Party Congressman Bill Pascrell wrote to state bars in Arizona, Michigan, New York, Nevada and Pennsylvania on Tuesday asking that Giuliani and 22 other lawyers working for the Trump campaign be struck off. .

“Mr. Giuliani’s blatant behavior to provoke Mr. Trump’s sinister arson is a danger not only to our legal system, but is also unprecedented in our national life,” he said.

Inside the White House, reports have detailed how most of Trump’s closest advisers actively avoid his lawyers and try to avoid discussing the election outcome.

According to The Daily Beast, a senior administration said in describing why the campaign resources of the US government, the Republican Party and Trump are still spending time and money on Trump’s legal challenges: “Trump wants this to continue … [Basically] everyone has to fake it. “

Giuliani has also pledged to remain the president’s friend and personal advocate when he leaves the White House, The Daily Beast has reported.

Although Trump has yet to concede the election, he would have accepted the loss privately.

Biden’s transition team has also started their work, but Biden said Trump is still not speaking to him.
