It's one of Disney's star-studded "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" memorabilia in California and Florida, but good luck getting home-made "Star Wars" Coke bottles back home.

The announcement was made before the Florida version of "Galaxy's Edge" was opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The reason for the ban is that soda bottles, designed to resemble the thermal detonators of the movie saga, look too much like an explosive replica and that replicas are not allowed in airplanes, said TSA spokesman Jim Gregory at the Orange County Register.
The question and answer was posted on the TSA Twitter account, AskTSA.
Thank you for asking the question! Replica and inert explosives are not permitted in carry-on baggage or checked baggage.

1. I'm glad you provided a picture, Andrew! Grenade replicas are not permitted in carry-on baggage or checked baggage. These items can be confused with real grenades in the X-ray machine or by a passenger and can cause the same level of concern.

I had no problem flying with these bottles (full) in my checked luggage in June or July. I was not even notified that my bag had been opened.

As for other "Star Wars" weapons such as lightsabers, the TSA allows them both in registered bags and in transport bags, according to PopSugar.
Hello James. Toy lightsabers are allowed in carry-on luggage. May the force be with you! Have a nice trip.
