Head coach Thomas Tuchel thinks that Paris Saint-Germain can use its first match of the Champions League against Real Madrid to deliver a remarkable performance.

The two European heavyweights meet Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes to try to place a mark in Group A.

Both teams were, however, touched by their own selection concerns, with PSG missing Brazilian striker Neymar, who saw his suspension of the Champions League reduced to two matches.

Despite the weight of hopes of a better defeat against Manchester United in the last 16 games, German coach Tuchel is determined to take things as it should.

"Last year, we entered a very strong group (with Liverpool and Naples). There was a lot of pressure, "said Tuchel at a press conference.

"There is a lot to learn from a defeat. It was a very long phase after the loss against Manchester United, but we must forget and look forward.

"The team did that. We have a lot of changes, new players. But this is the first game, not a decisive match in the group.

"At the same time, it's a great opportunity to show that you're capable of achieving a great team performance."

"Real Madrid is very strong, brave, he has won many victories in the Champions League. I want to be aggressive, play fast.

"It's our character to be active. I do not want to be too passive, we have to take the ball to find solutions. "

Tuchel, however, insists that the club's owners are not exerting any additional pressure to do more to win the glory of Europe this season.

"We have never discussed with the president about this. My goal is to win tomorrow, it's clear. Then, match after match, "he said.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has reduced Neymar's sentencing to social media commented on the controversial PSG 3-1 defeat at home against Manchester United in March.

The former Barcelona striker was strongly linked to his summer comeback in Spain and was mocked by PSG fans when he returned to the squad on Saturday after the 1-0 win over Strasbourg – which he had won by a of the head.

Tuchel wants to draw a line throughout the saga.

"Between me and Ney, everything is clear. The transfer market is over, he is our player. It has never been a problem between me and my player, "said the PSG coach.

Real Madrid dismissed its own injury concerns – Croatia midfielder Luka Modric, the last away, with a 3-2 home win over Levante.

Head coach Zinedine Zidane is ready for Wednesday's game against Ligue 1 leaders.

"We are happy to start another competition. We know that it's a complicated opponent, that's what we have to do, but we're ready for that, "said Zidane, who revealed that Eden Hazard could be involved after playing the last half hour Saturday.

"We are starting the season well, but we can obviously do better and we need to progress at all levels."

Karim Benzema scored twice against Levante and Zidane thinks the veteran striker from France can once again be a key player.

"He scores more, it's very decisive, but he's also a team player and that interests me more," said the Real Madrid coach at the time. 39, a press conference.

"Maybe he will have a little more motivation because he's from Lyon, but I still love Benzema in my team."
