A The war of words between two Fox News personalities intensified when Tucker Carlson fought back at Shepard Smith after the host of the day described Carlson's behavior as one of his "disgusting" guests.
The quarrel began Tuesday when Carlson summoned former US prosecutor Joe DiGenova after the Democrats announced the opening of a dismissal investigation against President Trump. Judge Andrew Napolitano, a contributor to Fox News, was torn apart by DiGenova, calling him "crazy" for stating in an interview with Smith that Trump had already admitted to committing a crime.
Smith voiced Wednesday his disapproval for Carlson not to dispute this statement and said: "Attacking our colleague who is here to offer legal assessments on our airwaves, in our workhouse, is disgusting."
During the episode of Wednesday night Tucker Carlson tonightDiGenova came back to defend himself, while Carlson shot Smith.
"Well, apparently, our host of the day, who animated Judge Napolitano, was watching last night and was outraged by what you said and, ironically, you called him" partisan, "Carlson said before airing an excerpt from the Smith issue.
"Repugnant! It is not clear whether it was you or me, but that someone is loathsome," Carlson exclaimed.
"Now, unlike the hosts of a few days, I'm not very partisan," Carlson said with a smile before asking DiGenova again if he thought Trump had committed a crime.
DiGenova went on to explain that he did not believe that the president had committed a crime and blamed Napolitano.
"Why do we find ourselves in a situation where people are not willing to admit that their passions guide their coverage of the press?" Said Carlson. "It would not be better if we said aloud aloud, you know, that's what I think."
"When you dress up a press cover, when you dress up the partisanship and pretend that your political opinions are angry, people disagree. They know dishonesty when they see it, "he added.
