Enis Berberoglu, MPP of Istanbul CHP, was arrested in June 2017 for alleged violation of immunity. At trial, Berberoğlu was re-elected on June 24. Berberoğlu's lawyers, who went unpunished, appealed to the 16th chamber of the Court of Cassation and demanded that the trial be stopped. But the request was rejected.
