The Metastatic Support for Breast Cancer and Patient Counseling Project began with the need for psychosocial support for women struggling with breast cancer
In the statement of the Turkish Association of Medical Oncology (TTOD), TTOD, Europa Donna Patient Association and Pfizer Oncology,
The purpose of the project is to provide access free to patients with advanced breast cancer, to patients with metastatic breast cancer, naked emotional load relieve psychological and social support they need to fight. In order to make an appointment with an expert psychologist, it will suffice for patients to call the numbered psychological support appointment line "0530 969 39 33."
Patients will be consulted for free up to 5 sessions according to their needs after the first meeting with the psychologist. The project, which is being implemented in Istanbul as a pilot project, also aims to raise public awareness of metastatic breast cancer, the psychological effects of which can not be fully understood by society and the relatives of patients.
