BIST 100 the index decreased by 2,826.33 points from the previous close and total trading volume was 6.6 billion pounds.
The banking index fell 5.27%, while the holding index lost 2.60%. Among the industry indices, the highest gain was observed in sports and commerce, with 1.26%.
Although the index began to decline with a slight upward trend due to midday buying, it followed a downward trend in closing.
Analysts said the data program would be followed, especially for the country's industrial production and the euro zone's external trade balance in the future.
