Turkey's electricity generation continues to increase. Meanwhile, there is a serious shift in the distribution of resource-based production. According to information collected by the Journal of Energy, the electricity generated during the first six months of the year was 141 billion 842 million kWh with an increase of 2.5%.
Most of the coal produced in the first half of this year
belongs to it.
The share of wind was 6.4%
While natural gas conversion plants ranked second at 29.2%, hydroelectric plants accounted for 23.1% (8.9% of the plants). The share of renewable resources, with the exception of water, continued to increase during the first six months of the year. . Among them, the highest share is 6.4%, while the wind power plants are in the first place, while the geothermal plants occupy the second place with 2.4%. While biomass power plants have a 0.8% share, only 19 million kWh of power plants producing electricity (GHGs) have no significant share in the percentile.
– The share of natural gas and dams decreased
During the first six months of the year, the contribution of natural gas plants to total electricity generation decreased by 13 % compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result, the share of total production increased from 34.2% to 29.2%. Output from hydropower plants fell from 23 billion kWh to 20.2 billion kWh, and its share of the total fell from 16.9% to 14.2%.
Coal -Ithal share increased by 4 points [19659008] renewable and indigenous energy sources, Turkey has succeeded in the production of electricity based on natural gas, looking at the policy polarization to decrease in the total. However, there has been a significant increase in the production of imported coal plants. The imported coal plants, which produced 22.1 billion kWh of electricity during the first six months of last year, reached 28.7 billion kWh of output over the same period of the year. Thus, the share of these plants in the total rose from 16% to 20.2%.
-Wind coştu stations
The largest in terms of wind resources to contribute to the total production of renewable resources in Turkey. During the first six months of the year, the amount of electricity generated in wind farms reached 17.1%, reaching 9.1 billion kWh. Thus, the share of wind power plants in total electricity production for six months increased by 0.8 percentage points to 6.4%.
-A geothermal electricity increased by 36%
The production of geothermal electricity from domestic and renewable sources increased by 36% compared to the first half of the year, reaching 3 billion 337 million kWh. For example, the share of geothermal power plants in total electricity generation increased from 1.8% to 2.4% in the first six months.
-A solar electricity doubled …
Solar-based electricity production reached more than 19.1 million kWh with an increase of more than 90% over the six first months of last year. Nevertheless, GHGs are still not read in terms of their share in total electricity production.
