Dollar / TL fluctuates in the band 5.22-5.50 since early November. Recent moves by the CBRT and the government, improved relations with the United States and lower oil prices have pushed the dollar / LT back to pre-peak levels in August. The dollar / TL peaked with 7.24 on August 13th.
How did DOLAR start?
The USD / TRY is trading this morning at 5.2696 / 5.2671, Euro / TL 5.9454 / 5.9412.
Since the peak, the value gain in TL has reached 38%. However, compared to the beginning of the year, the depreciation of TL against the dollar is around 27%. The evolution of Halkbank in line with the improvement of Turkey-United States relations in the coming period in the market, the exemption granted to sanctions against Iran, the rate decision US interest, trade wars, Brexit process and is followed as the direction of the price determinant factor of oil prices.
