Poland takes the tram from Turkey – Economic News

Durmazlar, the world's 7th largest tram producer, made its first export to Poland, a member of the European Union. These are also the first tramway exports from Turkey. Durmazlar, who received all the technical specifications and offered the best offer for the city of Olsztyn in February, won the call for tenders. In the first stage, the total number will increase to 24, according to the agreement of 20 million euros including 12 trams. The Panorama tramway, currently in service in Kocaeli and Samsun, will start in 2020 in Olsztyn. The signing ceremony of the agreement was held with the Mayor of Olsztyn, Pietr Grzymowicz, and the Vice President of Dumazlar Holding, Fatma Durmaz Yılbirlik. Mayor Pietr Grzymowicz, who spoke at the ceremony at the address of the Warsaw Embassy's Chief of Staff, Atilla Gökhan Kizilarslan, said that Durmazlar was the only one undertaking to fulfill all the requirements that she wished. Grzymowicz stated that they had invested 7 kilometers further in the 11 km rail network in Olsztyn, where 123,000 live.
