Tyson Foods announced the recall of 39,078 pounds of chicken patties that could be contaminated.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, the recall involves Weaver brand chicken patties that may be contaminated with foreign material.

The USDA does not say what these foreign materials are, but the recall falls under Class I, which means that the health risk presents a reasonable probability that the use of the product will result in serious, harmful consequences. for health or death.

The problem was discovered after Tyson reported consumer complaints.

The fully cooked and frozen chicken products were produced on January 31, 2019. The USDA is concerned that some products may still be in freezers.
