This could be interesting – Twitter is currently experimenting with a new image format, which would take up all of the horizontal space in the stream, eliminating the current rounded borders of your photos.
As you can see in this example, shared by a reverse engineering expert Jane manchun wong, the new layout spans the full width of the feed, which really does give it a bit more of a Facebook vibe, but it looks better than the current layout of the tweet image.
And apparently Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey agrees. He posted this response to Wong’s original tweet sharing his discovery.
Which is tacit confirmation of its arrival, which could be an important change to note for your tweeted images and processes, to ensure you maximize the extra width, when it becomes available.
On another front, Twitter has also given users new hope regarding tweet editing, with product manager Kayvon Beykpour asking the question in a tweet poll.
if @TwitterBlue allow you to edit tweets within minutes of posting, would you like to subscribe? tell me why yes / no in the answers!

Twitter has been talking about this possible addition for years, with Dorsey himself explaining how it might work in an interview with Joe Rogan in 2019.
“So when you send a tweet, it’s instantly broadcast to the world. You can’t take it back. You can build it as such, so maybe we introduce a 5-30 second delay in the shipment. And in this window you can edit. The problem with going longer than that is that it takes that real-time nature out of the conversation flow. “
Beykpour is talking about minutes with this new iteration, but the idea is the same, which could become a possible addition to her Twitter Blue subscription offering which is currently available to users in Canada and Australia.
Twitter Blue already offers an “unsent” option, which allows users to remove their sent tweets within 30 seconds of posting. Would editing, within a wider time frame, improve the option even more?
In some ways, it’s interesting to see Twitter continuing to explore new ideas for its monetization tools, but in others it feels like throwing all the ideas it can, in the hope that minus a few things stick. Last year, Dorsey said the tweet editing wasn’t going to happen, which seemed like the end – but the fact that he’s now resurrecting this discussion seems to be, maybe Twitter is running out of it. ideas to get people to pay for his stuff.
Or maybe it won’t leave anything to chance. The platform’s management is under pressure to improve its results, after years of relative stagnation, and it has set itself ambitious growth targets that it must probably meet – or it is quite possible that Dorsey and Co. will be ousted. by the board of directors of the company.
Maybe then Twitter needs to throw the kitchen sink on its new subscription tools. And maybe editing tweets could be the main lure that will attract more people.
Either way, that probably doesn’t suggest people are flocking to Twitter Blue just yet.
And finally, Twitter also added a new automatic captioning option for voice tweets.
We’ve taken your feedback and we’re getting the job done. To improve accessibility features, closed captions for voice tweets are being rolled out today.
Now when you record a voice Tweet, the captions are automatically generated and displayed. To view captions on the web, click on the “CC” button. https://t.co/hrdI19Itu6 pic.twitter.com/pDlpOUgV6l

Remember those two days when voice tweets were one thing and then everyone forgot they even existed? Well, they still serve as part of Twitter’s user base, and captions will provide another way to facilitate expanded use.
