Lyoto Machida remained perfect in his Bellator career on Friday when he defeated Chael Sonnen in a potential title eliminator in the co-headliner of Bellator 222.

Machida (26-8 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) managed her comeback in the light heavyweight division after finishing Sonnen (30-17-1 MMA, 2-3 BMMA) by the second round TKO in the match. 39th co-main event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Subsequently, Sonnen retired from the MMA.
