Sean Strickland scored the biggest win of his career yet on Saturday when he beat Uriah Hall in the UFC in the ESPN 28 main event.
Strickland (24-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) extended his five-fight winning streak in the middleweight division with a unanimous decision victory over Hall (17-10 MMA, 10-8 UFC) at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
With the win, Strickland gets into position for another high-profile bout at 185 pounds.
Check out Twitter’s main reactions to Strickland’s UFC victory over Hall on ESPN 28 below.
I actually trained with Uriah Hall a few months ago, his movement was awesome. I have my money on him tonight.

These midweights are tall, long, slender and give off heat! 🔥

Sean Strickland looks sharp!

Difficult start for Hall. Strickland replenishes it for 99% of this turn.

It was Sean’s turn but I feel Uriah started to feel more comfortable with Sean’s style. # UFCVegas33

Strickland sets the table with jab, wants to eat with rights while Hall looks to land rights off the counter. # UFCVegas33 #UFC

Strickland over Hall on the cage trying to land some shots, Hall picks up Sean trying to buy himself time to recover. Sean in search of body work, Hall occupies him by working the hooks. Strickland guards Hall on the cage. Sean lands an uppercut on the exit # UFCVegas33

Strongly disagree with @bisping on Sean’s wrestling ability. He’s actually a very good wrestler, he never uses it 🤷🏽♂️ # UFCVegas33

I would love to see more combos from Sean, he has a great jab but I think the combos are going to be a problem for Uriah. # UFCVegas33
-Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc) August 1, 2021
Hall has a long jab, he should use it a few inches longer than Strickland can. # UFCVegas33 #UFC

Strickland wins the second round, had a dominant first half but Hall has started to connect in the last 2.5 hours. Hall must keep moving. 20-18, Strickland

I didn’t know who Strickland was before, but I know it now. Sol and hammers his opponent while telling him to get up because he wants to keep fighting.

Uriah Hall’s body language is terrible. Let’s see what his trainer Sayif Saud tells him here between the third and fourth rounds.
– Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) August 1, 2021
Uriah Hall survived this round, but he doesn’t really look like he wants to be there right now.
– Ben Fowlkes (@benfowlkesMMA) August 1, 2021
Sean doesn’t even care about the sub, he just wants Big Brother Uriah! # UFCVegas33
-Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc) August 1, 2021
Strickland injures Hall in the feet, then withdraws. Because of course.

Does Uriah have pain in his right hand barely throwing it away
– Belal Muhammad (@ bullyb170) August 1, 2021
There’s nothing flashy about Strickland’s game, but the dude just stays on top of you, sticks you with clean, frequent hits, and has grappling hooks in his back pocket if needed. # UFCVegas33

Hell with it all. give this man the stool @ufc

Such a fun fight!
– Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) August 1, 2021
I’ve seen Sean train so many times and he fights like he trains. In your face, don’t give yourself a thumbs up and gritty! # UFCVegas33
-Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc) August 1, 2021
It was a beating. No other way to say it. Sean Strickland bullies Uriah Hall for five rounds. Thanks to Hall for hanging the full five up there, but it was one-way traffic. Man. Hall will feel that way tomorrow.
– Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) August 1, 2021
Uriah still makes the same mistakes from years ago that caused him to lose and was never able to make an adjustment. It’s that simple too. Strickland has a nasty side kick, go ahead and throw! Good fight overall. Good fight for Strickland # UFCVegas33
– Derek Brunson (@DerekBrunson) August 1, 2021
Sean Strickland just gave Uriah Hall a beating. Declaration of victory in the middleweight division. He just mutilated Hall and wins every round. 50-43, Strickland # UFCVegas33
– Mike Coppinger (@MikeCoppinger) August 1, 2021
I really didn’t think this fight would be as one-sided as it was. Strickland landed and positioned himself for a huge fight after that big win. # UFCVegas33
– Aljamain Sterling (@funkmasterMMA) August 1, 2021
With that shutout from Uriah Hall, Sean Strickland now has five consecutive wins and is 4-0 since returning from a horrific motorcycle accident that destroyed his knee and could easily have crippled or killed him. Not too bad at all.
