At the same time, Twitter has announced its intention to extract location data from the information sent to one of its advertising partners, but this process has not worked as expected. The partner did not see any precise location data for anyone (Twitter was hiding the information, so it was accurate only on a five square kilometer area) and did not receive any names from anyone. 39; user or other information that could compromise the identity of anyone, said Twitter. However, the company may have shared location data that it was not supposed to collect with this partner.
Twitter said the partner had only stored the information for a short time before deleting it as part of normal business data processing procedures. Although Twitter has contacted the users concerned, it is nevertheless interesting to review your privacy settings.
