Spider-Man has been one of the most important additions to the Marvel film universe, but it seems that this status has been thrown into total uncertainty. A new report from Deadline says that Sony Pictures is separating Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios, and that's not all. It turns out that there are still other films in preparation for Tom Holland.
According to this new report, sources told Deadline "There are two more Spider Man films in the works "for the moment.There are no details on what the films may be or who takes the lead on their creative side.However, the report says that the director Jon Watts would supervise the films with Holland featured.
This news would be good news for fans without the latest addition. As the report says, Feige will likely not be the leading creative producer of one or the other film, unless "something dramatic happens" between the two companies.
Regarding the biggest report, Deadline writes that a stalemate of Disney-Sony is at the origin of Spider Man problem. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige would be removed from the list Spider Man films because companies have failed to find amicable co-financing terms. The dispute allegedly began several months ago with senior executives, and Sony decided to "essentially" exclude Feige and Marvel Studios from the equation.
Until now, nothing says what it means for Spider-Man and his canon status in the Marvel film universe. Fans hope that an agreement will be reached for the beloved superhero, but it seems that things are not going so well for the most friendly spider of Queen, his neighbor.
