Two reports indicate a potential security vulnerability related to the iOS 13 payment method

IOS 13.1 is set to be released tomorrow by Apple to solve some performance and reliability issues with iOS 13, but we've also heard reports that users believe that there is a security vulnerability in iOS 13 payment methods.

Reported by Neowin, two Reddit users shared a problem when they updated their payment method for Apple services on iOS 13. Surprisingly, when users have updated their credit card information, the information of an unknown user appeared, including their name, their address and the last four credits. Card number.

From Thanamite, Reddit user, over the weekend:

Today, I decided to change iTunes credit card. I used the photo taking feature. He was reading my card but when I saved the card, the credit card of another user was registered! A woman from Illinois. I have his full name, his billing address and the last 4 digits of his credit card!

Then yesterday, another Reddit user, createdbyeric, felt like he was looking the same:

As the title indicates. I went to update my payment information in iOS13 and in doing so, he showed me information about a Discover card (no one I know has one) and the full billing address of the woman.

I've taken screenshots of everything and I will report it to Apple as soon as possible. However, I just read an article here on Reddit, not knowing if it is this submarine or another submarine related to iOS / iPhone that has posted exactly the same problem.

Creadtedbyeric explains that when they reported the problem to Apple, they seemed to take it very seriously and brought back the cases of Thanamite and Thanamite.

UPDATE: I spent about 40 minutes on the phone with Apple. They are aware of my problem and I have been able to quote the case number u / Thanamite of his post and they take the problem very seriously. I was transferred to a senior executive position who quickly recognized the magnitude of the problem and decided to move our cases higher. Although this is a rather scary issue, that's why I like Apple as a company. I was afraid that they would not take the issue seriously, but everyone I spoke to took the thing very seriously. Thank you u / MustandV6Premium for helping me find the referenced post

These are the first two reports we have seen on this potential bug. Although both users have updated iOS 13, we do not know if this is specifically a problem related to iOS 13 and could be a bug in the Apple backend payment system more generally . We will update this post if more details are revealed.
