Four people were gunned down outside Nationals Park on Saturday night during the Nationals’ game against the San Diego Padres, DC police said.
The shooting was reported at N Street and South Capitol Street SW, near the third base gate, police said.
Two of the victims were taken to hospital conscious and breathing. Two others entered hospitals in the area “for the treatment of gunshot wounds”. The shooting was unrelated to the game, police said.
A video on social media shows fans fleeing the stadium. The announcer urges people to keep calm and stay indoors, repeating that the incident has been reported outside.
DC Police said there was no ongoing threat to the community and that they were investigating the shooting.
